What is Masonry?

Freemasonry is a fraternal organization that brings together men of good character who seek personal growth, fellowship, and service to their communities. Lodges like Ashlar No. 111 meet regularly for business, ritual degree work, dinners, and charitable projects. Masonry is not a religion and does not replace anyone's faith. Members come from many backgrounds and professions. Public activities typically include hosting dinners (at the lodge or elsewhere), degree nights for candidates progressing through Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason, volunteer service, and fundraising for local needs.
